About This Program
Dance has been at the heart of Saraswati Music College since its earliest years. Our Kathak program teaches the grammar of classical Indian dance — footwork (tatkar), expressive gestures (mudras), pirouettes (chakkar) and abhinaya (expression) — under experienced gurus. For students drawn to the energy of folk and Western forms, we offer semi-classical, folk, freestyle, jazz and contemporary dance. All programs are structured for long-term artistic development with regular performance opportunities.
